Bitcoin’s weekly surge could be driven by liquidity shortage

Image
Analysts suggest that Bitcoin’s recent surge could be driven by an ongoing liquidity shortage and declining stablecoin market cap.  The ongoing liquidity shortage in the cryptocurrency market has been significantly impacting Bitcoin’s price, which has experienced dramatic fluctuations of over 10 percent in recent weeks. According to research from FalconX, the average volume of Bitcoin trades within a 1 percent price range from its current value has been at its lowest for the year. This comes despite a renewed surge in trading activities, partially ignited by market speculation surrounding the potential approval of a Bitcoin ETF (Exchange-Traded Fund). Bitcoin’s declining exchange reserve How Does Low Liquidity Affect Bitcoin’s Price? In financial markets, low liquidity means fewer buyers and sellers, making it more challenging to enter or exit positions without affecting the market. When liquidity is low, even a small number of trades can have a si...

Bitcoin price cracks $30K, possibly clearing a path for SOL, LINK, AAVE and STX

Image
Bitcoin’s strong rally to $30,000 may have kick started a sharp recovery in SOL, LINK, AAVE and STX. Bitcoin (BTC) had a good week with prices rising about 10% to reach the psychologically important level of $30,000. After the rally, the question troubling investors is whether the uptrend will continue or is time for a reversal to happen. Trading team Stockmoney Lizards recently said that Bitcoin may soon break above its overhead resistance and start a sharp rally. They believe the approval for the exchange-traded fund will drive mass adoption and trigger the rally before the halving due in April 2024. Crypto market data daily view. Source: Coin360 A positive development this week was that Bitcoin’s strength rubbed off to several altcoins, which surged above their respective overhead resistance levels. This suggests that the sentiment is gradually turning positive and that it may be time to consider buying selectively. Typically, the coins that lead the markets higher are the ones th...

Chainlink’s Bullish Trajectory: A Close Analysis of LINK’s Price Momentum

Image
Chainlink (LINK) has recently showcased encouraging signs, especially with its price staying robust above the $7.25 benchmark against the US dollar. Moreover, trading above the critical $7.30 threshold and the notable 100 simple moving average (4 hours) underscores this bullish momentum. A significant bullish trend line has been spotted, offering support near the $7.25 zone on the LINK/USD pair’s 4-hour chart, as data from Kraken illustrates. LINK Outpaces Bitcoin and Ethereum Our previous LINK price evaluation highlighted the potential for further elevation beyond the $7.00 mark against the US dollar. Consequently, the currency didn’t just hold its ground but also surged past the $7.25 boundary. Significantly, Chainlink continued. It surpassed the $7.50 mark, reaching a commendable $7.56 high, outclassing giants like Bitcoin and Ethereum in its ascent. However, a slight downward correction took the price below $7.40, nudging it to test the 23.6% Fib retracement level. ...

3 reasons why Pepe price will continue to fall in September

Image
A mix of on-chain, fundamental, and technical indicators hint at a continuing Pepe price decline ahead. Pepecoin (PEPE) price has crashed nearly 85% from its record high of $0.00000448 in May 2023. What's more, its bearish momentum is likely to continue in September.  Back-to-back Pepecoin security breaches Pepecoin has suffered two concerning security breaches in the last two weeks. First, on Aug. 24, Pepecoin's rogue founding team members transferred $16 million worth of PEPE tokens to exchanges to potentially sell them. That created concerns across the community about a potential "rug pull scam," causing a 30% decline in the PEPE market. Then, on Sep. 9, Pepecoin's official X (aka Twitter) handle confirmed that an anonymous entity dubbed "lordkeklol" had hacked their accredited Telegram channel.  $PEPE Announcement The old telegram for $PEPE is hacked and no longer in our control. The “lordkeklol” account has been compromised. Whoever has gained a...

Price analysis 6/14: BTC, ETH, BNB, XRP, ADA, DOGE, SOL, MATIC, LTC, DOT

The entire crypto market awaits the result of todays Federal Reserve presser, and traders are hopeful that positive news will trigger a price breakout to the upside. The United States equities markets rose after the consumer price index print on June 13 came in below expectations but Bitcoin (BTC) and the altcoins failed to recover. This suggests that cryptocurrency traders are focused on crypto-specific issues and are not buying on favorable macroeconomic news.  However, there is a ray of hope for the bulls because Bitcoin is still holding above the $25,000 support. MicroStrategy co-founder Michael Saylor said in a Bloomberg interview on June 13 that the regulatory crackdown by the Securities and Exchange Commission may be bullish for Bitcoin. Saylor expects Bitcoin’s dominance to hit 80% in the future as “mega institutional money” flows into crypto after the “confusion and anxiety” dies down.  Although Saylor’s views may sound comforting to the Bitcoin bulls, they should keep in mi...

Price analysis 4/3: SPX, DXY, BTC, ETH, BNB, XRP, ADA, MATIC, DOGE, SOL

Image
Macroeconomic headwinds continue to pressure the crypto market, but bulls appear steadfast on holding $28,000 for support and this could provide tailwinds for altcoins. Bitcoin’s (BTC) price initially dipped, but then recovered on April 3. The volatility happened after several OPEC+ members announced plans to cut oil production totaling 1.65 million barrels per day until the end of the year. Some analysts expect this move to tighten supply, resulting in higher prices at the pump. That may in turn boost inflation, warranting a continued hawkish stance from central banks. Initially, the United States Dollar index (DXY) rose but it could not sustain the intraday rally. This suggests that the market participants believe the event will not cause any major deviation in the Federal Reserve’s policy. A weaker DXY is generally considered a positive for risky assets. Bitcoin’s boring price action allows XMR, TON, TWT and AXS to gather strength

Image
BTC’s price range is tightening in preparation for a potential range expansion. Meanwhile, XMR, TON, TWT and AXS are maintaining their bullish momentum. The relief rally in the United States equities markets took a breather this week as all major averages closed in the red. Traders seem to have booked profits before the busy economic calendar next week. The S&P 500 index dropped 3.37%, but a minor positive for the cryptocurrency markets is that Bitcoin (BTC) has not followed the equities markets lower. This suggests that crypto traders are not panicking and dumping their positions with every downtick in equities. Crypto market data daily view. Source: Coin360 The range-bound action in Bitcoin suggests that traders are avoiding large bets before the Federal Reserve’s rate hike decision on Dec. 14. However, that has not stopped the action in select altcoins, which are showing promise in the near term. Let’s look at the charts of Bitcoin and select altcoins and spot the critical ...
